Short Description Provide funding for cultural resource surveys on lands bought by the NPT to fulfill its obligations under the Dworshak Mitigation Agreement. Funds were not provided by BPA under the agreement to cover cultural resource surveys in the future.
Target Species Pileated Woodpecker, Yellow Warbler, White-tailed Deer, Blackcapped Chickadee, Elk, River Otter, Great Blue Heron and Osprey.

Schedule Constraints: The NPT has acquired 760 acres todate with 10,000 acres as the mitigation goal. Availability of willing sellers in the future will effect acquisition rates and the need for future surveys.

Abstract

The Dworshak Wildlife Cultural Survey Project is to provide funding for Cultural Resource Surveys on all newly acquired mitigation properties. Funds were not furnished in the Dworshak Wildlife Mitigation Agreement to do Cultural Resource Surveys. This proposal is to provide funds to conduct any reconnaissance surveys of any parcels purchased over the next five years, as needed.
