Objective
(abbreviation)
Full Description
Enhance nutrients instream Outplant up to 500 certified disease free tule fall Chinook salmon in the West Fork Hood River during the fall, 2008. The biomass and nutrients supplied by the carcasses will provide food and enhance stream productivity to the benefit of rearing juvenile salmonids. Naturally produced anadromous fish populations are well below historic numbers in the Hood River thus the fish community is lacking an important source of nutrient resources.

This request will need a ISRP review due to scope change. This request was originally made under project 1988-053-07, but will be changed to 1998-021-00 (habitat project). The $4300 mentioned below is NOT a request for more funding. It is the estimate of personnel time from the current funding needed to implement the scope change.  Sponsor needs to initiate ISRP review for the proposed change in Scope. Depending on time-frame, this request will be pooled up for the fourth quarter review, and a decision in middle of November.
