Protect HU's through Fee-title and Conservation Easements Protect HU's through Fee-title and Conservation Easements

Proposed action to achieve the objective(s) IDFG is in negoations with The Nature Conservancy and the Flat Top Sheep Co Ranch to secure a Conservation Easement for 24,500 private acres located on the Little Wood River in Blaine County Idaho. This is a working ranch with great wildlife habitat in prestine condition.

Does not implementing this modification jeopardize the ability to achieve existing biological objectives of this project, as well as other projects? Yes

Explain: This Conservation Easement would protect habitat units over a large area to be used for wildlife mitigation credits. The ability to protect large tracts of land in good conditions are becoming very scare in our ever changing landscape.
